Welcome to the IMCA@imcamail.de mailing list! I.M.C.A. Inc. endeavours to ensure the authenticity of meteoritic material provided by its members and is all about honest business/collecting practices. If members wish to sell or trade meteoritic specimens, those items must be exactly what are claimed. Unclassified 'meteorites' purchased on eBay from unknown sellers may not be meteorites. Please do not sell or trade any meteorites you have found unless they have been verified by a meteorite expert. By joining the I.M.C.A. you agree to uphold a high standard. 'Authenticity Guaranteed' on the logos means that you (not I.M.C.A.) are responsible for authenticity and its accompanying guarantee. The purpose of the mailing list is for meteoritic discussions, I.M.C.A. business, and to alert members to fraudulent auctions. If you would like to post anything meteorite related (discoveries, questions, friendly debate), you are welcome to do so. Please, DO NOT post any sales or 'flames' to this list. There are plenty of other lists for those purposes. Spam (unwanted solicitations): Our IMCA List is closed and not available to common spammers. Some simple rules for the IMCA List: - Please do not include pictures into your emails; links are welcome, though. - Please do not attach files or pictures to your emails, for security reasons. - Please do not post any adds or sales on this list; there are other places to do that. - Please be polite and professional all the time. Flames, and other types of misbehaviour will put you on moderated status, first, and it will eventually endanger your IMCA List Membership, and in cases of gross misabuse of this list or other serious cases also your IMCA Membership as such. - The IMCA mailing list is for IMCA members only (private list). Using IMCA
To post a message to all the list members, send email to imca@imcamail.de. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to IMCA
Subscribe to IMCA by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription.
